  1. I love the unstable weather action because of the aggressive bite but I like stretches of stable weather too. I feel like it positions fish in a more predictable manner.

  2. Great video, Great tips!! I went kayak fishing yesterday, 3 hours before a bad rain storm and didn’t catch anything. It got cold and I got rained on. Was it the best time to go? Yes, because it was my only day off and I love to fish. I’m still chasing that big bass… and channels like yours help alot!!

  3. Thanks for the video. I’ve been watching a lot of your stuff recently. Grew up in south Florida. Always caught my biggest fish in or right before a rain or storm. I live in North Carolina now and I can’t get them to eat anything in the rain or anything even close to bad weather. It’s weird. We had a front move through here about a week ago. Fished two days and got skunked really bad. Out of both days I caught one little guy on a popper. Yesterday the weather had moved out and it was really nice outside. Caught 11 bass. So I’m honestly at a loss right now. I haven’t lived here very long but I plan on fishing a kayak tournament series in 2022. Trying to get all the info on these waters as I can. I am waiting for the next storm so I can get out and see what’s up. Anyways thanks for the content man I appreciate the time you put in. I started making videos recently and quickly realized it is a heck of a lot of work. Been a fun learning experience for sure.

  4. I wish I got into bass fishing more when I was in Texas. I got I to it now that I’m back in Oregon and I feel like it’s a completely different game. Lol

  5. Great video! I’m a paying user of Bass Forecast, and it’s been a great tool for learning trends, but I will absolutely say – if you’re fishing smaller bodies of waters and ponds, the forecasts are generally pretty off, or at minimum, the impacts of the effects being calculated are being felt earlier or later. It’s great for feeding times and as a general guide for presentations in those cases, but some of my very best days of fishing with small bodies of water have come on 1-3 rated days, while my friends on lakes all struggled. Conversely, I’ve had days I went out on a 7-8 rated day and not gotten a single bite, while friends on lakes were killing it. So to me, that’s at least enough anecdotal evidence for me to think they should consider adding pond vs lake and water clarity selections to the algorithm to really help people dial in.

  6. I wonder if the bite is also better during this “bad” weather because the bass don’t see as many lures and pressure during the bad weather

  7. Haha! I live in Los Angeles and I agree with ya’! I learned something today as I often do when I watch your videos. Thanks so much.

  8. I’m picky about the weather. I don’t like wind because my Jon boat isn’t equipped to be maintained at a single spot.

But I’ve fished during a rainy day one time and I caught a big Bass and a 8 pound catfish.

  9. Dude please do a video using a 7’3 med heavy moderate if you have one would love to see some swim jig catches on a softer rod to see the out come please

  10. I like cloudy days lots of rain no thunder and 10 to 15 kmh winds but can’t fish in crazy winds and my parents won’t let me go on my kayak in thunder

  11. I totally agree!!!! When I went fishing when the weather was just like that where i live, which is in OREGON for Petes sake!! The Smallmouth were going to town on the buzzbait!!! Couldn’t believe it!!! This video proves that when just before the cold front comes in, is the ABSOLUTE BEST time to catch a crazy amount of fish!!! Double Dip Awesome Sause Tyler!!!

  12. I watched this yesterday. Applied what you said and caught a nice 5.5 pounder. Bassforecast is amazing too. Love the channel

  13. Tyler, thank you for all you do for those of us who are starting to get into bass fishing. I’ve learned so much and can’t wait to see what I can get my first fall fishing for bass. Also the app works well.

  14. Big head & skinny personality like Los Angeles…. too funny. You may have a future in stand-up :).
If i get BassForecast how do i tag it to TRF??

  15. he is totally right I caught so much bass one day its a small lake and there was only me and another guy fishing and I tor them up bass almost every cast it was cold cloudy super windy and bass were biting like crazy.

  16. Not only that there’s never anyone else out there fishing in those conditions! Great tips man and next time its raining I’m gonna go make a video!

  17. That app is trash I have had my best days when it says its the worst so tyler quit lieing bass forecast SUCKS and I even payed for it

  18. It’s always unfortunate when we get kicked out of a spot. Especially a honey hole. That brings me to my question. When one says you can fish there and another says you can’t. Who is correct? How do I know the person who is kicking us out is in the wrong? He said the other person shouldn’t have told you that. Maybe he was in the wrong for telling you to leave. A nice honey hole like that, may bring me to ask the owner. Lol.

  19. When you were talking about how animals move when the weather changes and cold fronts I started thinking about deer season and it sent shivers down my spine ooo I can’t wait for deer season
