Hi alan, with the yabbie, I threaded it through its backside only for the reason that they swim backwards, so jigging it will pull it up backwards , does that make dense ??

You rigged the creature baits wrongly.
Fish will take them head first so you insert the hook the other end.
Plus you’ll be better off using EWG weedless hooks.

Been fishing fake baits for a while but the first set up with the baits that have the weedless slot but using a head weight jighead was lil new to me thank U.👍🏼

Hey Alan, great info here, it took me a while of trial and error to learn that straight really is very important lol.
Just one question I’ve always used the Gulp plastics because i found they worked well and they have a scent. But are the other brands any good?
I like the zman grubs because they last a while and they don’t get destroyed like the gulps do. Some sessions i end up going through 1 nearly 2 packs of the gulp plastics and it ends up costing more than bait! What do you think?

Id do the Yabby backyard. They swim backs but with the hidden weight jh I rig my imitation prawn that way. Flattys love it.✌🏽

Thanks for that Alan, I’m never too clever to ignore the basics. I really liked the look of that stand up style crab rig at the end, they present a bit like the Cranka Crabs but a hell of a lot cheaper, how do they go on the Bream? p.s. I dig the retro t-shirt (even though it’s still in reverse).
