  2. Respect for paying homage to the late great Doug Hannon and others who have influenced your fishing. Its rare these days to see people give credit to all those who have given so much to the sport through their hard work and time on the water. Tight lines brother.

  3. There’s a lot of good points in this vid. I agree 100% with everything. My uncle always used a 12 inch black worm. Yeah it looks funny but baby water snakes and such are prime food for bass. I don’t think I will ever use a big swim bait like a see in the stores for the fact they are pricey and if I lost one I’d be upset. I am a predominantly a top water guy all summer. I’ll fish a worm top water as well. Black jitter bugs have done ok with hook mods but the sloppy toad scum frog has been producing big bass on a full moon night on lake guntersville. I caught 5 bass around from 10:30 to 11:30 pm week before last and had a 7 pounder and a few 4 to 5 pounders in a hour.

  4. Let me just say I just caught my first big bass in my life thanks to this video I got one on a rainy day and I was so excited but stayed quiet now I did fish for a week straight with nothing but lonely bait but in the end it was all worth it ❤🎉🎉🎉

  5. I do have a question. Do you use the split ring attached to the nose of your crankbaits, if so, do you change those to a higher tensile strength brand? Do you change the hooks immediately after opening new baits to stronger, sharper, even a bit larger hooks

  6. Biggest fish I caught was probably a 5-7 pound large mouth it wasn’t massive but definitely a big fish by comparison to my cooler I put it in to compare it to my buddy’s bass he caught moments before

  7. bro i tried this and the black buzzbait early in the morning is a CHEAT CODE. you will catch the BIGGEST fish in your lake as long as you cover all the water. i got 5 hookups within 30 minutes at 6-7 am between 5-6 pounds. i didnt land 2 of em because i didnt have trailers but the black buzzbait is indeed the best lure ive ever used. research pat cullen

  8. This is truly a great video. I grew up watching my dad catch big bass from the bank, many at night. He was very quiet, used large lures and was more concerned about quality over quantity. Thanks for sharing!

  9. I’ve came back to this video and i would like to see y’all do more fishing videos and techniques on fishing. Lots of good information comes from people that don’t fish tournament all the time. Thanks

  10. 4:45 – low speed trolling motor, keep voices down, don’t drive over your fishing spot, good reel max casting distance
6:52 – may go days or weeks without a single bite. Usually 1-2 bites per trip
10:00 – 12 inch worms, buzzbaits, big swimbaits
10:54 – set your drag LOOSE
11:30 – low light conditions, pre-frontal conditions, falling barometric pressure, night fishing in the summer

  11. The biggest bass I ever caught was when I first got out of the Navy and a guy from my new work took me fishing in his bass boat. He was running the trolling motor and dropping his worm in every spot before I could get a chance. I decided to tie on a Rapala Rattlin Rap, Fire Tiger. I went to the opposite side of the boat and started casting as far as I could to run the bait parallel to the shore. He said he was happy for me but I knew he was pissed.

  12. Hey just wanted to say that was an awesome video a lot of the things that you suggested. I’ve already figured out night time fishing bigger bates being quiet and li Also catch all my big fish at night usually by myself. Looking forward to checking out the article about Pat Cullin. I still haven’t got a 10 pounder yet. Going to take your advice and get in that frame of mindnd. Stay more focused and you are so right about how Sensitive bass are to noise. As far as the weather is concerned you’re right on it’s pouring rain and I’m out fishing. I just took a break going to try a different place when I came across your Video. Great job buddy very informative.

  13. I’ve never seen one man have SO many pictures with monster Bass lol that’s impressive enough. Something turned on in me the past week to go fishing again. And it’s bass I want. Let’s see how it goes

  14. It has been quit a while since I watched your videos. Targeting bid bass From Nov. Thru. Feb. is great. I live in south central Florida and we have monster bass. I agree with all your tips. I use a 10 inch plum worm and slow moving it across the bottom. 11 and a half pounder is my PB. My wife has caught an 8 pounder. We fish twice a week just for the fun. We are not tournament people. People like you we need more of.

  15. I’ve lost 2 huge fish in the last week . Can you cover how to play the big fish , like what to do when they jump .

  16. If your down south and fish eat all year round. I’m in Connecticut. So 5 pounder would probably be a big deal up here if I’m not mistaken

  17. Okay I have mixed feelings about this I watched Bill Dance last night and he said that the bass were always bigger in the month of July did any other months. And now you’re telling me that the bass are always at their biggest size between November and February would you care to elaborate on this. I am so very confused🤔

  18. I seen the picture of you wearing the Florida Gators hat as a young man, i being from Florida am curious as to how that happend?

  19. Most of this is pure garbage. 23 years guiding on an East Texas lake, boated maybe 200 fish 10 pounds and up. 90 percent of those big fish came between 11 am and 2 pm. A fish is an eating machine. All they know is eat, spawn eat some more. Again very very few of those fish came early or late in the day. Most were caught on a Jig or a 4 inch long work on a carolina rig. Fish do the same thing every day. No, it does not take a big bait, nor does it take super quite stealth. Seen them caught 10 feet in front of my boat in 4 feet of water. It is not rocket science, it just knowing the water your on and where the best ambush structure/cover big fish like.

  20. Which is best? Deep or shallow? My third time watching this video. Thank you so much for the information!

  21. Youre speaking my language . Im 40 and from NY and i have OBSESSED over catching big bass my entire life. Thank you for this video .

  22. On the voice thing. I catch a bunch of big ones when I call my cousin (it’s just a superstition luck call at this rate)
