  1. The valuation refers to the purchase between what is declared by the manufacturer and the value obtained, however, the manufacturer can declare whatever he wants. A manufacturer could declare 2 kilos of resistance for a PE2 and the value obtained could be 4 kilos, which is +100%, and would be at the top of the resistance ranking, however, 4 kilos is a ridiculously low value. for a PE2. To really know how good a fishing line is, you must compare the lines with each other taking a common diameter. For example, buy all the lines taking as a reference 0.20mm of real value (not declared).

  2. You should have added in the thickness % to line weight class.
will determine how much or how little line can be spooled.
But otherwise i have recently been inteoduced to the shimano pitbull and also shimano grappler. bit more on the expensive end although they have been working well so far

  3. There should be stated/actual diameter too. for example, majorcraft dangan has +181% in diameter, how can it even be top4

  4. Hello sir . Please help to spill the number that you use to count the psi so i know how to count just for a little bit with the other line that you still didn’t make a test sir . Please 🙏

  5. Majorcraft DanganX has to be one of the most underrated braids ever. It comfortably casts 100m+ on baits and lures on the right setup, pulls the plug out of the ocean with its breaking strain and is so supple. I rate it higher than Varivas 8, only because I’ve had some weird wind knots on that.

  6. Have you ever done tests on really heavy braids such as 100lb+. Looking to get a good line for sturgeon in a sharp rock covered area.

  7. Should be some ranking for line thickness to breaking strength. One of the main advantages to braid is its thin diameter and superior strength at those sizes.

  8. The Gliss monotex frays like I’ve never seen before. The line will be 4x the thickness after a day of fishing. I’m pulling it through cover but I’ve never had a braid come apart on me like this one has.

  9. really , you tested lines in different weights , some aren’t available anymore or only in australia . pretty much a worthless exercise

  10. Great review! One thing I am more interested is the casting distance, and ability to avoid wind knot for thin lines among different brands with the same claimed diameter, but I guess without a sponsorship from the fishing line manufactures, it’s almost impossible to do. I am speculating similar price of Japanese brand PE lines will have similar performance since they probably have similar manufacturing process and material unless one has a patented unique process/material.

  11. Bonjour, merci pour votre travaille. Je vous regarde depuis la France. Si vous devez conseiller 1 seul tresse,la quelle conseiller vous ?
    Merci encore 😊

  12. So many new options to try now. Very eye opening. Keep doing what you’re doing. Hopefully over time, we’ll get a great database and resource to refer to when thinking about line for specific fishing application.

  13. How can Gosen Casting cannot on list interesting Zero Wind knots so Thin..Like 1.5 Gosen 0.216 same thin as Jbraid 0.16..Zero wind knots for real..

  14. Hi enjoying the testing of braided lines. Have you or will you be testing fluoro carbon leader under the same tests. Keep up the great work excellent channel

  15. Gliss is not worth it. Tried it years ago and like others mention it frays easily and falls apart under the slightest abrasion. Also wind knots like no other.

  16. Is there anyway to add a metric to test for vulnerability to wind knots? I purchased the varivas multipurpose braid based off your high recommendation but it loves to wind knot. Imho, the number of instances that I experienced wind knotting was enough to not use the braid =. Thanks again for all the great scientific analysis! Cheers guys and happy new year! 🙌🙌🙌

  17. That gliss I used once in lighter applications on spin reel. Line breaks down quickly I will never use it again. Although it’s casts superbly it doesn’t last.

  18. Hey m8 just found your channel…where did those 4hr go? Lol.
Was wondering how the tasline factory tour went?
It is all i use and if im to be honest i like it but im starting to look for a more cost effictive australian made alternative.
    Very interesting channel.👍

  19. 4 out of 5 top performance braid were izanas made in Japan which still exist in the market, while the 1st rank is monotex made in Germany which is very hard to find in the market.
Where is spectra braid made in USA?

  20. Are there any lines in the 20lb class you recommend where the line diameter is actually around .22-28mm and actually breaks over 20lbs? Price is no concern just need more than 150M. Thanks

  21. Interesting tests for sure but have a hard time taking them serious when Gliss wins. That stuff had terrible abrasion resistance, do any search on it and you will see its worthless when it comes to abrasion.
