  1. More or less what I did. I built mine for inshore in and around the Carolinas but it’s a 3000 reel… on a 7 foot pole… with 15lb braid lol.

  2. I caught with the first rode a big king salmon last year. I like everything about this rod except ceramic leads that breaks in short time after purchasing. Maybe it just a bad luck and coincidence but I fish with this rod a few times.😕

  3. 6′
    Med-heavy
    One piece
    Ugly Styk
    3,000
    Spinning
    30 lb braid
    No leader.
I’ve caught bream, seatrout up to 29", red drum up to 40", tarpon up to 50", flounder, sheepshead, black bass, catfish, …..
It will last 10 years if you treat it poorly….a lifetime if you’re nice to it.

  4. Stay away from Sixgill rods & reels I bought two rods & reels, and the grips started falling apart after the 1st use. "Customer Service" is a joke. Made up a story they were sold with the statement "Grips may prematurely flake or peal & will NOT be covered under warranty". Such a BS company. Stay away. I’ll post pictures the next time I have a chance to trash this 2-cent outfit selling cheap Chinese crap at a premium price.

  5. Was thinking ~6’9" M spinning rod. Love my Fenwicks but if I could only have one I’d pick something with larger guides that allow knots and bobber stops to pass through easily like a St. Croix Eyecon rod.

  6. 6’6 rod for everything? I literally could not disagree more. You’d be WAY better off with an 8′ or even 9′ foot rod with a casting weight up to 35-45 grams and moderate-fast action. You can fish the sea, lakes and rivers with this setup. I agree with u on the reels tho, a 3000-3500 size reel is good for most fishing.

  7. My favorite go-to is my old shakespeare 6’6" medium action rod with a Rapala 2500 and 10lb. Monofilament…

  8. Would have been nice to know the brand name you are not much at describing stuff my 5 year old could have done what you did????

  9. This is similar to what i have. I got this type of setup for almost all types of freshwater fish setups. I go for 7ft-8 fishing pole and 2500-3000 reel. Super simple using 6-10lb line and its great simple setup

  10. I don’t trust white people. When I just started fishing One bum sporting good worker gave me all his preference on rod and line and my buddy met me later at the store and asked me why I’m buying such cheap and garbage pole and rod. I told him this worker said these were good. He told me those are cheap AF and not good

  11. you would not believe the fish you can catch on ultralight let alone medium power rods people get a Ultralight put some 8 pound braid with a 6 pound mono leader and have a blast catching giants

  12. do you have a video for people who do have money to blow and are looking for a rod that can catch tuna but also small guys from a boat ? Or shore once in a while ? I guess its a hard question, im a beginner and would really like to have just one rod or you say that’s impossible ?
Thank you sir. Your videos are very clear !

  13. Should you do it not so much if it has a rod reel and line it’s a fishing pole fish with it it takes so much time on water to feel and be able to use the difference in a marketing scheme

  14. Everything is quite a broad spectrum…!
I know for a fact you didn’t catch a tuna or marlin on that rod…! When you say everything,.. you need to back it up 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

  15. Slammed my abu Garcia 6’6" rod in a door, older guy at cabela’s(bass pro shops) handed me the $75 medium action 7" rod, only used it once so far and damn its nice, especially for the price. Said his buddy caught a master Catfish on that thing and still didn’t break, giving it a shot
