Great video, when you’re walking the fly out do you worry about the mend, presentation? I tend to wade out more than I’d like because of the varying flows between myself and the spot I’d like to hit.
Great tiip! I feel kinds smart now, because I was actually doing that today on my first time fly fishing a river. I was also making sure to fish the spots near where I would be walking next, before any potential fish would be spooked away.
I wanted to ask though, why is the line wrapped across the top of your rod like that?
Line is tangled 🙂
Excelente video, saludos desde Chile! 🇨🇱
Nice video, what camera and mic are u using?
Great video! Subscribed! Such great advice to walk your fly out gradually. This is a must when tight line nymphing as well. Keep up the good work!
Nice Dan, very helpful!
nice vid, this is what I need – I gotta work on my river fishing techniques because I don’t get a lot of practice for that where I’m from! Thanks!
Why do you have your mainline crossed over your rod between the reel and the first eye?
Really appreciate these videos. Keep me coming!
Is there a reason you allow your line to be wrapped around the rod at the lower butt end ?
I really appreciate you doing these tips and tricks videos. Being new to fly fishing, these video’s help me out a lot. Keep up the great work on the channel.
Glad I’m not the only one that gets their flyline wrapped over the back of the butt end of the rod @2:14.
And now you got me wanting to fish the st joe instead of the cda or priest river. Although i just got some decent smallies on priest.
