  1. Question, the state challenge kbf tournaments am i just competing against people in my state to be into money or am i competing against everyone from every state?

  2. Great video, We need a part 2 and maybe more. Been fishing the monthly tournaments for a while, this my first year doing a club lake series here in Missouri. Could use some advice on fishing tournaments when on large lakes a good distance from home. ( Im in south east MO so all of mine are 3 plus hours away ) How do you find areas to launch besides ramps? ( know what areas its legal to access )What about say camping over night or sleeping arrangements? ( For instance… I cant really take days off to go scout out spots and pre-fish lakes, stopped at a lake we have a tournament on in April on the way to visit my son, Checked on a spot id like to fish and ran into one REALLY SQUIRLY DUDE where i was going to spend the night before the tournament to camp. ( not a campground by the way ) was glad i had my friend in the glovebox….. Any info for the next level of tournament fishing i think would be a great help to many anglers getting further into it. Thank You

  3. I’ve been watching you over two years so I think you deserve something from me my friend. I been fishing the A.B.T. trounments. Thanks for great videos. 👍

  4. Appreciate you putting this video together! I dipped my toes in with the catch 22 last year. I’ll be doing it again this year as it’s a great cause. I might have to see what knuklhed is all about. It’s snowing here up in Gramps/my neck of the woods, so I’ve got some time.

  5. I use to bass fish from my bass boat, yeah I’m a horrible bass boat owner, haven’t fished from it in two years. I bought a kayak and have started somewhat fishing again. I appreciate the info on kayak tournaments. Something I am considering doing. I met you quite a few years ago in Columbia when they had then the Forrest Wood Cup. So I can say that if you say it, it’s legit. Thanks again for the info.

  6. Hey thanks for your videos. Been watching a lot over the winter and went out with my son yesterday and caught an absolute monster at our first spot. Been wanting to do a tourney this year too, so great timing

  7. Gene, I picked up the plastic Ketch board. Then started hearing they were banned. Can I use it for the challenge series?

  8. Good video I just wish there were kayak tournaments for people who are computer illiterate. My wife helps me but it seems like you have to spend more time on a screen than fishing.

  9. Thanks Gene. I’m not doing tourneys this year but I’m going to try it fish the lakes that the tourneys are on this year to get used to the lakes since I only have time to fish three lakes near home. Hopefully next year I’ll have confidence to enter for real.

  10. This might be a dumb question but are inflatables kayaks allowed in tournament it not a cheap one it’s an Aquaglide Blackfoot Angler 130

  11. Just bought the tag and ketch board. The tag website was being weird, but I hope it still kicks you the affiliate fee.

  12. Love doing KBF Monthly Challenges every once in a while, I’ve also been doing the PaddleNFin podcast Noobs Monthly if you’re new and been in less than 5 club events your eligible once you win your no longer eligible there’s an online championship for winners in fall with a prize

  13. Gene, I have been fishing salt water tourneys. How do I get into bass fishing? I’d love to compete in tourneys where I do not have to go to all these locations and mingle at the captains meetings and just fish!

  14. Kayak tourneys aren’t my cup of tea, but I will always admire what can be done with so little storage. You explained it and I understand why you and a lot of guys like it.

  15. Thank you for making this video, I just started fishing a few months ago and man I love it . I’m saving up for a fishing Kayak and start some serious fishing 🙂

  16. Been going through some flukemaster withdrawals. Glad you’ve been doing your thing but I’ve been missing the videos.

  17. Donde andaba Señor Flukemáster se le extrañaba espero que todo este bien! saludos! y no me pierdo su videos sobre todo los de enseñanza

  18. Thanks for the video Gene. Does Fishing Choas keep track of every fish catch and just take the top 5 or does it automatically cull your catches?

  19. I intended to try the KBF Challenge Series to get started but here in Florida there is ZERO chance us guys in the NW Panhandle can compete with the central/southern part of the state. That really hampers getting started..

  20. Thanks Gene, I needed this. I’m in a paddle only kayak, although I heard you can do this from the bank. Invaluable to me. Much appreciated.

  21. Awesome Info!!! don’t own a kayak….:O(…..but im willing to try the Knuklehed tournament from the bank! should be fun!

  22. As always great video Gene. So just to make sure I understand you correctly, if I enter multiple tournaments on the same month, I could write multiple identifiers on the same tag?
