  1. what about air pressure? here in the Mediterranean there are no tides and currents go hand in hand with swell. but people swear by certain air pressure and i cant really get it

  2. Liked it; as we say, Fishing can be fun whether or not ya bag out. Sometimes just sitting on a riverbank targeting bream and watching the water flow by is so relaxing.

  3. Went fishing today, high tide and everything, it was 11:30 so mid day and we could see the fish jumping. Every time we flung out bait out the fish wouldn’t even bite. Guess fish just arnt hungry during the mid day

  4. A lot of good info but no American translation, still useful. I river & lake catfish, you should come check it out if you haven’t already. Good luck out there m8

  5. I’m watching this because I’m just starting to learn fishing, so talking to me like I’m just starting to learn fishing.. is exactly what I need. Thanks for this

  6. Don’t no much about fishing, am headed to NZ for some time off, this video/previous one and all the videos yet to be watched will drum the information into me, as well as a family who have fished the areas for 40+ years will help me catch my wife her dinner plate or bigger snapper 🙂

  7. I just found this video. You are the only person who has broken this down in a way that matches my own understanding AND CONCLUSIONS of the Solunar Theory.

Thank you for putting together something that teaches John Alden Knight’s theory so very well!

My list of factors to improve chances of catching fish:

    A. Moon phase (1. New Moon, 2. Full Moon, 3. Everything else)

    B. Time of Day (1. Sunrise, 2. Sunset, 3. Midday). Eyes of fish are sensitive, so bright midday sunlight is painful. Also, brightness makes fish feel vulnerable to be seen, so clear skies make many species skittish and scared to be close to surface waters of lakes. Also, water is cooler in the water column at sunrise. It’s cooling down at sunset. Cooler water = water holds oxygen better. Poor oxygen means fish are sluggish or inactive.

    C. Weather (inland lakes fish like slight overcast, or even gentle rain to oxygenate and cool surface water).

    D. Location. All these other factors can be met, but if you cast into an empty swimming pool where fish aren’t there, you’re wasting time. It’s important to understand STRUCTURE of the habitat, and how that affects the feeding habits of your target species.

    E. Lure/bait presentation (color, depth, speed, action). Different colors of lures are either visible or hard to see depending on sunlight levels, and water clarity. Lures should be chosen that best mimics the.species’ natural food sources.

  8. Maaaaate! This video is gooooold! Thanks for putting this together. Legend! Big fan of your content. Subscribed to your channel. If you can check my channel and provide some feedback, I would be extremely happy. Big fan brother. Let’s go fishing! Fish on! 🎣🎣

  9. If you got a new moon but a shit tide and when you get there at first light theres fuck all water is it even worth it?

  10. love this video, I’m new to fishing and I have managed to get squid, but every time I try to get ANY fish is always a disappointing experience, I don’t have to many equipment but I still have that dream Hahahahaha I’ll use this info to get some fish some day!!! Thanks

  11. This is such a clear video. I go fishing out infront of my house on the sound. I push a small boat off the rocks and troll for up to 15 minutes strait with a little motor. I get.. idk.. 1000 – 3000 feet away from the house maybe? Decently far but still clearly see land. Where does this fall on here? Is it similar to beach fishing?

  12. Just watched this again for about the 10th time since it was released. Probably the single best advice vid ive ever seen for the novice fisho (me).

  13. Briggsy is Way better than Cavy , he won’t even give me the password to his website 🤦‍♂️ I just want to buy some lures

  14. Very nice analogy of fishing factors Briggsy. Don’t know how I missed this video. These informative vids you do are very overlooked by most channels.
I gotta say you missed a big one, sort of covered it a bit…
    Barometric pressure bro..!
The moment it rains it drops, the moment it stops raining it rises again. Fish go on the chew big time. I don’t mean days when it rains for hours, I mean when it rains for 20 minutes or so give or take, a bit more than a sun shower. Boom, they go off. Consequently if the pressure drops dramatically overnight, fish just high tail it or go off the chew… while it’s raining only certain species will bite. The barometer is a whole nother factor…
Wind plays a big factor too. It can hold the tide back or out, it can push the tide in faster. It pushes bait onto shores. It can definitely help casting or kill it 😂 it can give estuary fish some cover and make them more likely to bite vs still calm.
    Water clarity is another factor.
    It goes on…
    Awesome video mate 👌🏼

  15. Excellent presentation. Great graphics. Easily understood. One of the best or the best presentation I’ve seen on youtube.

  16. Wow, this is your most helpful video yet for a noob like myself. Thanks a bunch. Been binging out on your vids since i came across you via cavdogs channel, love your work.

  17. I wish I had someone who could teach me stuff like this when I was younger. Since iv been watching yours, cavys,Timmy’s videos. Iv never had more fun fishing. These videos are so important to young fishermen who don’t have people to teach them. Keep up this video man guys like me need it.

  18. Thanks for the informative videos it’s something different to see from a fishing channel, please make more.

  19. Haha "Just fishing with a go pro on my head", after watching most of your incredibly informative video series to learn how to fish I would argue you contribute far more than that. Thanks for the content 🙂

  20. I’ve found prior to sunrise to be best bite time.
Fish can shut down once it’s light.
I guess that it depends on many things.
    Water clarity, fish type.
Gonna try your new moon theory.
I agree with your full moon theory, but, first night of high pressure on the full moon can see predatory fish hunting bait fish silhouetted by the moon.

  21. If there’s one thing I love, it’s fantastic info like this told in a reasonable time frame, and you were fantastic. Just wish you were into boat fishing too because that’s what I do when I get time. Thanks very much for your great teachings.

  22. my 2c worth, live in South Africa on an estuary……you always want to place yourself in a channel, 2 hours before low tide and 2 hours after, 2 more things to tour list… water temp is massive and changing barometric pressure , from H to L pressure we smash them! Oh yes, the timing of sun rise and. Low tide – when low tide is as close to the sun rising fish go crazy.
